In this hybrid workshop, you’ll gain hands-on skills and cultural wisdom around postpartum belly binding methods — including the Malaysian Bengkung, Mexican Faja, Japanese Sarashi, African Lappa, and the Rebozo of Mexico/Caribbean traditions. Each binding technique holds its own history, energy, and purpose, and you’ll learn how to safely practice them for yourself or for the women you support.
Together we’ll explore:
Belly Binding Traditions → Learn step-by-step methods like Bengkung, Faja, Rebozo, Sarashi, and Lappa — techniques passed down through generations to support healing and restore strength after birth.
Herbal Support → Discover teas, soups, and food traditions that nourish the womb, restore vitality, and honor the body’s natural healing process.
Ceremonial Practices → From spiritual baths to steaming and cleansing rituals, you’ll gain insight into how cultures around the world protect and care for the mother during the sacred 40-day window.
Virtual Binding Guidance → For those attending online, you’ll still receive live demonstrations and personalized instruction so you can practice and integrate from home.
